How to register for the IELTS test?

To register for the IELTS test, you need to visit the official IDP website:
https://ielts.idp.com/poland/test-centre/lang-ltc

After selecting the test type (Academic or General), version (computer-based or paper-based), and date, you will need to provide your personal and contact information, and upload a scan or photo of your identity document (passport or ID card).
Your identity document must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of your IELTS registration.

IMPORTANT
On the day of the test, you must bring the same document that you uploaded during registration!
You must pay for the IELTS test within 48 hours of your registration date!

Where do I take my IELTS?

All tests – paper-based and computer-based – are held in person at our Examination Centre at Al. Jerozolimskie 133 in Warsaw.

What is the price of the test and how can I pay?

The price of the IELTS test is 885 PLN.

What is the difference between PB and CB?

Paper version (PB) – the result is available online on the 14th calendar day after the exam. Computer version (CD) – the result is available online 3 to 5 calendar days after the exam. You can find out more about computer-based IELTS here.

IELTS Academic or General?

IELTS is available in two different test formats. The type of test you choose depends on the purpose for which you are taking it.
The IELTS Academic test is designed for people who are applying for university admission or professional registration in an English-speaking environment.

The IELTS General Training test is designed for people who are planning to move to an English-speaking country to study, work, or participate in training programs. It is also a requirement for immigration to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

The Listening and Speaking sections are the same for both tests, but the content of the Reading and Writing sections differs depending on which test you choose.

Before registering for a test, check with the institution to which you are applying to see which type of IELTS test is required.

What happens after registration is complete?

Right after registration, you will receive an e-mail confirming your registration.

You get access to a course with hundreds of new and improved IELTS learning materials developed by experts at Macquarie University.

About 3 days before the test, you will also receive session details – schedule of the day and address.

Results and certificate

For the computer-based IELTS test, online results and online certificate will be available after 3 to 5 calendar days from the date of the exam.

For the paper-based version, online results and paper certificate will be available after 13 calendar days.
You will only receive one copy of your certificate.

You can pick up your certificate in person at our Examination Centre or choose to have it sent by registered mail.

You can also authorize someone to pick up your certificate on your behalf. The authorized person must have a printed and filled-in authorization form – download IELTS Result Collection Authorization

At your request, our Examination Centre can send 5 copies of your certificate directly to institutions you specify, free of charge.
